چکیده

INTRODUCTION The Estech COBRA FusionTM Ablation System was developed to provide superior epicardial ablation performance on the beating heart. Current ablation devices have significant limitations that prevent effective use in creating full-thickness (transmural) lesions. Bipolar ablation clamps are a widely accepted means to create transmural lesions of the left and right pulmonary veins (PVs). However, when bipolar clamps are used in an epicardial beating-heart approach, they cannot create linear lesions between the PVs. Due to their size and shape, bipolar clamps are also not particularly well suited for minimally invasive procedures, adding significant procedural complexity to yield only a limited lesion set.

A NEW APPROACH TO VESICOURETERAL REFLUX PERSISTING AFTER POSTERIOR URETHRAL VALVE ABLATION USING GIL-VERNET ANTIREFLUX TECHNIQUE

Classic anti reflux procedures on children with a history of posterior urethral valve does not usually yield good results and often ends up with ureteral obstruction and even permanent urinary diversion. From 1981 through 1988,21 boys with history of posterior urethral valve (PUV) underwent evaluation for vesicoureteral (VU) reflux 17 boys had VU reflux. Following valve ablation, reflux di...

Reservoir Performance Assessment Based on Intelligent Well Technology

The main challenge facing the oil industry is to reduce development costs while accelerating recovery with maximizing reserves. One of the key enabling technologies in this area is intelligent well completions. Intelligent well technology (IWT) is a relatively new technology that has been adopted by many operators in recent years to improve oil and gas recovery. Intelligent well completions emp...

Water Flooding Performance Evaluation Using Percolation Theory

Water flooding is a well-known secondary mechanism for improving oil recovery. Conventional approach to evaluate the performance of a water flooding process (e.g. breakthrough and post breakthrough behavior) is to establish a reliable geological reservoir model, upscale it, and then perform flow simulations. To evaluate the uncertainty in the breakthrough time or post breakthrough behavior, thi...

Micro-Model Experimental Study of Fracture Geometrical Effect on Breakthrough Time in Miscible Displacement Process

The miscible displacement process appears to be an increasingly feasible method for the extraction of oil from depleted reservoirs. How‌ever, there is a lack of fundamental understanding of how fracture geometrical characteristics impact the oil recovery efficiency in this type of enhanced oil recovery technique. In this work, a series of experimental tests were conducted whereby the n-Hept...

Adsorption of Fe (II) from Aqueous Phase by Chitosan: Application of Physical Models and Artificial Neural Network for Prediction of Breakthrough

Removal of Fe (II) from aqueous media was investigated using chitosan as the adsorbent in both batch and continuous systems. Batch experiments were carried out at initial concentration range of 10-50 mg/L and temperature range of 20–40˚C. In batch experiments, maximum adsorption capacity of 28.7 mg/g and removal efficiency of 93% were obtained. Adsorption equilibrium data were well-fitted with ...
